When you first visit www.aic.com, you have the option of choosing a default language - English or French. On subsequent visits to www.aic.com, you will automatically be taken to the appropriate home page.

This website has been designed for viewing with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or FireFox 1.0, or above. However, we recommend Firefox 2, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or Netscape 8 for optimal viewing. You may also wish to download a browser that supports strong (128-bit) encryption.

                             

The AIC website makes extensive use of the Adobe Acrobat file format. These files preseve the original look of a document, allowing you to view/print documents that look almost exactly like our original print material. Annual reports, marketing materials and other documents are all online in this format.

To view AIC presentations, including video and audio, please ensure that you have Windows Media Player installed, as well as Flash Player 6 or higher:

         

The detail presented on some of our pages will demand that you print in "landscape" format if you wish to print out all the details. This means that you will have to change the default settings on your browser (instructions are provided below.) "Landscape" printing orients the page so that it is wider than it is tall as seen in the examples below:

In order to change your printer settings to landscape format, please follow the instructions below.

Instructions

1. Choose "Print" from your Browser's File Menu.
2. Choose "Properties" on the Print dialogue box.
3. Select "Landscape" in the Properties dialogue box, then choose OK.

Your settings are now changed. Click OK on the Print dialogue box if you wish to print the page you are on or cancel to return to your browser.

In addition, on certain occasions, a page printed from the AIC Web site may contain sections that appear blank, yet the sections are visible on the computer screen. This problem relates to the fact that older versions of Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer Internet browsers do not recognize all of the colours that may appear on a Web site. This problem can be corrected, or at least greatly minimized, by using a newer-version Internet browser. You can download a free copy of Netscape Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 by following the instructions outlined here.

Changing Your Screen Resolution Settings

This website is optimized for viewing with a screen resolution of 800 by 600 using a 16-bit colour palette. The term "screen resolution" does not relate to your monitor's physical size. For example, a 14-inch monitor shows the same amount of image as a 21-inch monitor. You may encounter difficulty using this website if your computer is set at a screen resolution of 640 by 480.

1. Click your "Start" button.
2. Go to "Settings" > "Control Panel".
3. Click on the icon labeled "Display".
4. Click on the "Settings" tab.
5. Click on the "Down Arrow" to view the available options in the "colours" drop-down list.
6. Choose "High colour (16 bit)" or higher. (24 bit, 32 bit)
7. Next move the slider control in the "Screen Area" section to the right until the numbers read "800 by 600" or higher.
8. To finish the process, click the "Apply" button. You may be asked to restart your computer.
