Beware of companies who sell you on the advantages of putting your money with them for the long term, then go about buying and selling stocks within their funds based on a flavour-of-the-month strategy. They talk the long-term talk, but they don’t walk the walk.

At AIC, we follow a disciplined and focused value investing strategy. And we’ve been practicing what we preach for 20 years:

The primary difference between AIC and many other fund companies is our commitment to building wealth over the long run through investment discipline and strict adherence to our buy and hold strategy.

We place great importance on understanding everything about the companies we buy – unlike others who choose to simply react to market trends. We aren’t interested in owning a large collection of companies and turning them over repeatedly. In fact, AIC Funds generally have no more than 25 companies in their individual portfolios.
