James Dancy BA (Hon), CFA Vice President and Portfolio Manager

James Dancy has more than 19 years of experience in the financial services industry beginning in September 1987.

• Over 11 years experience working throughout the high-net worth management value chain from conception and implementation of back, mid and front office solutions through to marketing, relationship and portfolio management.
• 9 of his 19 years of experience also in investment research with emphasis on analyzing financial services businesses and, more specifically, wealth management and securities exchanges.
• Contributions to the Canadian wealth management landscape include innovative solutions for scaling compliance and individualized trading to the high net worth environment. In addition, he is widely acknowledged as the driving force behind the Investment Fund Institute of Canada’s (IFIC’s) move in 1996 to report net sales excluding reinvested dividends.

James earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with a double major in Commerce and Economics from the University of Toronto. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
